Creating our own Faith Ringgold artworks

The students have been learning about
horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines
and creating line designs.

We read Tar Beach by Faith Ringgold.

They apply knowledge of lines in their
Tar Beach artwork while creating a bridge and cityscape.

Explorers use a variety of shapes
such as squares, rectangles and triangles to create buildings.

Here are some outstanding explorers!

Mrs. Zack joins Mrs. Daily's class for art on Wednesdays.

Ms. Price, a Professor from Cleveland State and liason to CIS,
joined Ms. Hudson's third grade class for art.

We always appreciate a visit from Mr.Tyus during art class.

Reena Merriweather is a student from Cleveland State who is studying to be an art teacher. Ms. Merriweather worked with Mrs. Fairman's first grade students as they created their cityscape artwork after reading Tar Beach.
