Art with Miss Lipka

Welcome to the Art Blog for Campus International School.

The students have been learning about various artists from around the world.

In August, the students learned about Kandinsky from Moscow, Russia. He was an abstract painter that used various shapes, especially circles, in his artworks. The students created their own version of Kandinsky's circles with watercolor paint.

During the month of September, the students have learned about Keith Haring from New York. He was a mural artist who did many paintings on the subway walls.
A wonderful interactive site for your children to visit is: http://www.haringkids.com/

The students are just finishing their Claude Monet art projects creating lily pads, Japanese bridges, and ponds using oil pastels. Claude Monet was a French Impressionist painter from Paris, France.
